GENERAL INFORMATION
“Yerevan Jewelry Plant” was established in 1950 on the basis of “Jeweler” artel. Three years later, the enterprise was named “Yerevan Jewelry Factory” and entered the system of the Ministry of Trade of Armenian SSR. The factory was given its present name in 1963.
After Armenia’s independence proclamation, “Yerevan Jewelry Plant” became subordinated to the Ministry of Industry and Trade of RA (currently – the Ministry of Economy). Later on, the enterprise became Closed, and since 2001 – an Open Joint Stock Company.
The Plant is involved in production of gold and silver items, gold watches of “Gnomon” trademark, commemorative medals, processing of gemstones, as well as production of tools, used in jewelry industry.
